Winter brings a bounty of snow activities to the region from traditional winter fun like snowman building and sledding to extreme thrills racing down the double diamond slopes on Bear Valley Mountain.  Snowshoeing through Calaveras Big Trees State Park is a local's favorite.  Those in pursuit of winter fun without the snow can go caving, golfing, hiking and biking in the lower elevations.

Spring welcomes an array of opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast!  Wildflower hikes and mountain bike rides are at their best on well maintained trails throughout the region.  Snow runoff winds it's way to area lakes making way  for spectacular fishing.  Try your hand at flyfishing in the rivers or take out a boat on the lake.

Summer revs up the fun with extreme water sports and boat races at local reservoirs.  For a leisurely getaway settle into one of thousands of campsites from lake level to the High Sierra.  Acres of forest land provide opportunities for off-road vehicle
